The Wichita Mountains always proves to be such a breathtaking location for engagement sessions. Especially when your couple is as adventurous and fun as these two! Anna and Adam braved the 40 degree temps and overcast, misty skies for their sweet session. With their wedding day coming up in May and Adam traveling often for work, we didn’t have the ability to reschedule! However, their session actually fell on Anna’s birthday. I thought this was such a fun way to celebrate!
Between the cozy snuggle shots (yes, these are as real as it gets folks! It was frigid!) and the romantic gestures between these two, I was in photographer dreamland! I couldn’t even tell my fingers were about to fall off from the cold Oklahoma wind. We began the session near the dam, found a huge field (where Adam might have sat on a small cactus… sorry Adam, but anything for the shot right?!) and ended on the epic Mount Scott for some captivating dress shots. Y’all, Adam carried barefoot Anna down the mountain and back up after we were done with photos. This man LOVES this woman. I was out of breath just carrying my camera! They laughed the entire way! These are some of my favorite moments because it allows me to see a couple in their real, genuine state.
Anna and Adam met in November of 2019 at a Marine Corps Ball through a mutual friend. They hit it off right away and became really good friends. They soon after began dating and fell in love. Hearing Anna speak about Adam during their consultation brought tears to my eyes. Their story is truly unique and so special to hear. These two will be married this May on a family estate and I can’t wait to be there to capture all of the beautiful little moments between these two and their sweet family! In the meantime, I hope you enjoy some great moments from Anna and Adam’s engagement session at The Wichita Mountains.
