These two have such a love for the outdoors, they instantly knew they wanted to include nature into their engagement session. They both enjoy running and taking their dogs on the nearby trails of Lake Lawson! This ended up being the perfect backdrop for their session. With perfect cool but sunny weather, we had such a peaceful evening in the woods. However, about halfway through the session, we stumbled upon (almost literally) a water snake (potentially a water moccasin, but not entirely sure! We didn’t stick around long to find out!) Thankfully he didn’t bother us and we were able to continue on our way. We decided to stay on the trails for the rest of the pictures just in case!
Tracy and Chris met through friends at a happy hour! After dating for some time, Chris proposed with an adventure book from the Disney movie “Up”! I so wish I could have been a fly on the wall during this proposal… I would have cried for sure! Such a thoughtful and romantic idea… kudos to Chris! If you haven’t seen this movie, stop what you are doing and go watch it now, it is SO sweet! These two also love traveling and exploring together! Since their families are very diverse, they really appreciate learning all about different cultures. Since Tracy is half Indian, she was very passionate about including the celebration of Holi, into their engagement session. Holi is a celebration of the end of winter and the beginning of spring. It’s a celebration of rebirth and new beginnings, and a time to let the bad and the negative melt away. It’s also known as the Festival of Colors! Tracy and Chris brought purple colored powder along with them to create the look of Holi! I loved how personal and special this was to them and I’m obsessed with how amazing the shots came out!
These two are such a sweet pair! I can’t wait to witness and capture their “I Do’s” this fall in Virginia Beach! Congratulations on your engagement you two!
