The Norfolk Botanical Gardens was such a dream to shoot at once again for Jana and Tom’s wedding day! With an overcast sky and crisp air, it truly felt like a fall day! From the gorgeous lush gardens, to enchanting details, to a couple that keeps me laughing all day long, this day was truly magical! You may remember these two from their engagement session this past spring in Old Town Alexandria, which was definitely one of my favorite locations to ever shoot at!
This fun duo tied the knot on October 5th, 2019 at the Norfolk Botanical Gardens in Norfolk, Virginia. Despite the spotty showers of rain and last minute change of plans, these two handled the day flawlessly and made the absolute best out of their day! Jana was a vision in her lace bridal gown from BHDLN while Tom looked so dapper in his navy blue suit. I was obsessed with Jana’s color palette she chose! The deep shades of greens, blues, and ivory made for a unique and beautiful theme.
I loved all the in-between moments captured throughout the day! One of my favorite moments was Jana’s first look with her grandparents. I remembering tearing up when it was happening and I even teared up editing the photos. Moments like these are true treasures that I adore and that I hope my couples will appreciate in the years to come!
The evening ended with a wonderful reception inside the lobby of the Norfolk Botanical Gardens! Seeing all of their guests and hearing all of the wonderful toasts made it obvious that these two are very loved and admired! A few really fun events took place such as a bridesmaids bouquet toss and a groomsmen fashion show contest. Instead of your every day wedding cake, these two decided to do an SUNDAE BAR! This was probably one of my favorite things about their reception! We actually stopped at an ice cream shop for these two during their engagement session so it was so fitting that it was included on their wedding day as well!
I’m so excited for these two and know they have an amazing journey ahead! Congrats to Jana and Tom on becoming husband and wife!
